People divided as 30-year-old who runs $200m portfolio shares her daily routine

Social media users have mixed feelings after a woman who runs a ‘$200m portfolio’ shared her daily routine - with some failing to see what's so groundbreaking about it.

While many of us struggle to even make a brew before heading off to the office, there are some people out there who somehow manage to cram a lot more into their time - with Mark Wahlberg famously claiming to wake up at 2.30am to cram in prayers, breakfast, exercise and even a round of golf before the rest of the world has even stirred.

“I’m 30 years old,” she said.

“And I run a $200M portfolio of businesses.”

In the comments, she went on to explain her schedule in further detail, addressing the ‘elephant in the room’ by saying: “This isn't going to be another one of those woke hoorah threads. I don't journal, ice bathe, or use red light therapy. I'm not saying those things don't work. I just prefer taking action.”

Hormozi, Co-Founder of Acquisition.com, said she wakes up at ‘about 4 or 5am’, continuing: “From there I don't check email or social media. Instead, I grab a cup of coffee, and get to my deep work. This lasts for a couple of hours. I typically focus on the hardest/most important stuff first.”

At this point she hits the gym, where she’ll sometimes listen to ‘relevant podcasts/audio books’, but often just listens to music.

"After about an hour or so, I head back to work (no shower),” Hormozi wrote.

“For the rest of the work day, I'm on calls. Most of them are internal with my team - but I'll have the occasional client call.

“Once I'm done with work, I meet up with Alex. Most nights we eat out. This saves us a ton of time. And allows us to decompress.”

She added: “That's it about it... That's my ‘insane’ daily routine. It's insanely boring. But, if you want to get s**t done... There are no shortcuts/hacks. You just have to do the work.”

After Hormozi shared her routine, some people have been left feeling slightly confused – with many asking what’s so difference about her schedule, compared to anyone else’s.

One person commented: “This is literally just a regular 9-5, with filler like your workouts, gym and dinner to make it look more impressive. 2 hours of deep work (i.e. regular work) and the rest is meetings. Lol.”

Another joked: “Let's be fair here. This is much emptier than a 9-5 work schedule.”

A third said: “This looks like the schedule of every middle manager I’ve ever known. What am I missing?”

A fourth added: “You don't actually do anything LMFAO. its cool that you probably get 6 figures to go to meetings, but no need to brag.”

Others were baffled for another reason.

“But do you take a shower at some point or no?” one Twitter user asked.

“I’ve read till the very end to see when exactly and you didn’t say you do.”

When someone called for an ICU or floor nurse to share what they do in a 12-hour window, an oncology nurse replied: “I do more work in the first four hours of a single floor shift than she does all week.”

Another pointed out the change having children can have on strict routines, saying: “Now imagine if you become a parent. Need to delete half of this calendar and still hold your job and look after yourself as well as your children.”
