A friend of Sister Wives' Garrison Brown has reminisced about their relationship following his death and called for the show to be cancelled.

Brown has been in the public eye since the early 2010s due to being part of the TLC reality TV show.

The show documented the lives of Kody Brown, his four wives, and their 18 children.

Brown was found dead at his home in Flagstaff, Arizona, on March 5 at the age of 25 and while an official cause of death has not been shared, police have told media outlets that it appeared to be suicide.

His mother Janelle Brown confirmed his passing on Instagram, writing: "Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown.

"He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him.

"His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away.

"We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory."

His death was reported on earlier this month and his friends and family have taken to social media to offer tributes.

One of Brown’s friend, Bryson Cook, wrote a message on Instagram following his death.

Writing on March 11, he wrote: “You told me you’d always be there for me. You said you’d speak at my future wedding and that you’d want us all to live next to each other once we settled down.

“I remember the days where you would be the one convincing me to stay for all three hours of church.

"I remember the late night chats about life and the future. I’m mad at you Robert, I’m mad you left without talking to me one last time.

“I KNOW I’ll get to see you again and we can hug it out then, but for now I’m angry…. I miss you buddy. #storminmormonsforlife #cancelsisterwives #planofsalvation,”

Other social media users appeared to agree with calls for the show's cancellation - which has run for 18 seasons.

“Enough is enough. It's time to cancel this show. I pray to God they don't go right back to "the way it was" and don't take the time to honor this wonderful young man's legacy,” one user wrote.

“All the firsts without him will be hard but you did get to a point when you can talk about him and not be sad. I think you right the show should be canceled,” another added.

“So sorry for your loss. I watch sister wives and I believe they should cancel the show. The last few years it hasn't been about the family," someone else wrote.

Without addressing claims about whether show should be cancelled or not, Brown’s sister, Madison Brown Bush, released a video earlier this week and said she wanted to address some things.

Posting on Instagram, she insisted that he wasn't suffering from 'bullying' or 'a lack of love' but said he struggled with 'mental health'.

She went on to explain that she will continue to advocate for the importance of mental health until she ‘turns blue in the face'.
