Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene's boyfriend has issued a supportive statement in the wake of the congresswoman's shock resignation.

Brian Glenn, Chief White House Correspondent for the Trump-supporting Real America's Voice channel, has remained staunchly behind his partner of two years since her relationship with the president seemingly imploded and joined Greene's daughter in praising the two-term representative.

In her resignation statement, Greene championed her record on Republican issues like gun rights and abortion, while also expressing disillusionment with the current party leadership. But it appears Trump's withdrawal of support triggered her decision to leave frontline politics.

"I have too much self respect and dignity, love my family way too much, and do not want my sweet district to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the president we all fought for, only to fight and win my election while Republicans will likely lose the midterms," she said.

Without the backing of the man whose politics catapulted her to the pinnacle of American life, Greene announced that she would be stepping down from Congress on January 5, 2026.

Sharing her 10-minute resignation statement, Glenn praised the 51-year-old Georgia congresswoman's resolve on X, stating: "You never allowed the political industrial complex to break you. No one fought for America harder than you."

A similar sentiment was expressed by Greene's daughter, Lauren Greene Sanders, who called her a 'one of a kind congresswoman', adding: "Forever will be so proud of my mom. 110% on America First, American Only."

But there was one individual who went unnamed by Glenn and Greene's daughter, the president himself.

Greene said she's faced an avalanche of death threats since Trump branded his once staunch ally a 'traitor' for supporting the release of confidential documents relating to the convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, documents which he has now signed for release.

However, Trump did not appear to be bothered by the loss of his former supporter when questioned by the press, even calling it 'great news'.

"Nah, it doesn't matter, you know but I think it's great. I think she should be happy," Trump told ABC's Rachel Scott during a phone-in, adding: "I think it's great news for the country. It's great."

Greene's daughter and boyfriend remained by her side throughout her break-up with the MAGA political scion, despite both of them seeking greater positions of influence in right-wing circles.

Despite his Trump-facing White House role, Glenn shared his support in public after the president slammed Greene as a 'traitor', saying: "I love this woman. I love this country. God bless America."

The couple started dating in 2023, a few months after they both divorced their former spouses.

Meanwhile, Greene's daughter Lauren has been offering a more full-throated defense of her mother, attacking her critics as 'fake MAGA'.

As per the Daily Mail, she told one detractor on social media: "Funny how you have MAGA in your bio and MAGA means 'Make America Great Again,' yet here you are calling her a traitor, even though she [is] one of the real one[s] who are actually trying to make America great again by unapologetically fighting for us, the American citizens, by being America First."
