A former McDonald's chef has revealed the order that the staff members don't want you to make.

Mike Haracz has made a name for himself on TikTok, where he talks all things McDonald's and answers his 323,000 followers' pressing questions about the fast food giant.

Mike has revealed things such as why McDonald's doesn't have knives in its kitchens, if its chicken nuggets have really shrunk or not, as well as the biggest misconception about the company.

Now Mike has shared what he believes that McDonald's staffers don't want you to order when you go — and the reason why is pretty understandable.

Speaking exclusively to UNILAD, Mike shared: "They don't want you to order highly customized items.

"The restaurant staff would prefer you to order food as is, without any customization, as that is the easiest for the kitchen to execute.

"Once an order is placed that is highly customized and deviates from the traditional build of the item, it is much more difficult to efficiently produce and can slow the line down."

So next time you want your Big Mac without onions, think again. Mike also revealed what his favorite and least favorite McDonald's menu items are.

"My highest rated item on the McDonald's menu in the US is the fresh beef quarter pounder," he told us.

Going on to share a hack of his, Mike continued: "The trick is, you need to eat it in the restaurant, or right when you receive it while it is hot and fresh. If it sits in your bag and you don't eat it until later, it ends up tasting like a standard offering."

As for his least favorite item? The McRib. It returned to menus in the US for a limited time only on December 3, 2024.

The highly sought-after item was only available in selected restaurants throughout January, USA Today reported.

Explaining why he doesn't have much time of the McRib, Mike said that he is 'not a fan of the flavor of the BBQ sauce'.

Mike explained that he's not a huge advocate for McDonald's breakfast sandwich, either.

"Personally, I do not like the folded egg used on some of the breakfast sandwiches so I swap it for the round egg used on the McMuffin," he told UNILAD.

Note to self: Eat quarter-pounder burgers as soon as I get one and swap the folded egg on breakfast sandwiches for one of McMuffin's round ones—even though staff members don't want us to personalize our orders.
