Based on the 2021 novel The Soul Game by Javier Castillo, the series is set in Malaga, Spain and follows a desperate search for a young girl called Amaya.

She goes missing during the city's Cavalcade of the Magi parade and, naturally, her devastated family are anxious to find her.

That's where Miren Rojo (Milena Smit), an early-career journalist, steps in.

Teaming up with veteran journalist Eduardo Vergara (José Coronado), they help to investigate the high-profile case - risking everything as they get closer to uncovering the truth.

The series in question is called The Snow Girl and you can watch its trailer below.

Its first season was released back in 2023, with the second dropping on Netflix the start of this year.

Critics over on Rotten Tomatoes rated the series a perfect 100 percent, praising its 'suspenseful' storytelling and 'exciting' conclusion.

One fan even hailed it 'one of the best series I've watched in a long time'.

A second claimed the opening episode gave them 'chills', while a third described it 'dynamic and engaging'.

The glowing reviews continued over on X, where one fan wrote: "The first season of The Snow Girl on Netflix had me up until 2am watching it. Now onto the second season."

A third declared: "The Snow Girl on Netflix is 10/10."

While someone else penned: "THE SNOW GIRL on Netflix is riveting."

Fans are now anxiously waiting to hear if a season three is in the works, with no official word from Netflix just yet.

Both seasons of The Snow Girl are available to stream now on Netflix.
