The singer D4vd is the target of a grand jury investigation after a teenager girl was found deceased in his Tesla vehicle last September.
Some six months ago, authorities made the discovery of a decomposing body in the trunk of a car, which was registered to the singer.
Representatives for D4vd, real name David Anthony Burke, previously said in a statement that the singer 'has been informed about what’s happened, and although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities'.
Police identified the body as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas-Hernandez, who was last seen and reported missing in April 2024 when she was just 13.

Now, unsealed court documents have revealed D4vd's family were summoned by a court in California to testify before the grand jury.

The singer has since been identified as a 'target' in a Los Angeles investigation over one possible count of murder.
D4vd has not been charged in connection with any wrongdoing and is yet to be officially named in the case.
Court documents have previously stated police 'observed a decomposed head and torso' on September 8, 2025, before the Los Angeles county medical examiner’s office were called to the scene.
Documents added: "Upon removing the cadaver bag from the front storage compartment, it was discovered the arms and legs had been severed from the body. A second black bag was discovered underneath the cadaver bag. Upon opening the second bag, the dismembered body parts were discovered."

A cause of death is yet to be detailed, while the medical examiner's office said in an earlier statement that Celeste 'appears to have been deceased inside the vehicle for an extended period of time before being found.'
Police revealed to NBC4 Investigates they believe Celeste likely died in the spring of last year.
