
Police were met with a gruesome discovery when called to check out an impounded vehicle.
Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) were alerted to a foul smell coming from a black Tesla at an impound lot in Hollywood on Monday (September 8).
It's believed the vehicle had been on the lot for a couple of days and when officers checked out the Tesla's front trunk they discovered a body that had been placed inside a plastic bag.

The identity of the deceased person and their cause of death has not yet been revealed.
While the victim remains unknown, is has been reported that the 2023 Tesla is registered in registered in Hempstead, Texas, to David Anthony Burke, best known as the singer d4vd.
The owner of the car has not been confirmed by police, however.
In a statement to LADbible Group, the LAPD said: "On 9/8/25 around 12:20 pm, officers responded to the 1000 block of Mansfield Avenue for a foul odor coming from a vehicle at a tow yard.

"Detectives responded and located possible human remains. It is currently a death investigation. We do not have information on the owner of the vehicle."
Singer d4vd is in the midst of his Withered world tour at the moment and has continued to post to social media amid the news of yesterday's gruesome discovery.

His latest Instagram post teased his upcoming album titled 'Withered Deluxe: Marcescence', which is set to be released on September 19.

Both the tracks have more than a billion streams on Spotify, where the singer has over 33 million monthly listeners.

Fans may also know him from touring with SZA.
Speaking about his time with the Grammy Award-winner, d4vd told People that she taught him to be 'unapologetically' himself.
SZA reportedly told him: "Boy, you just got to be you. You just got to be you."
