Rep for US singer speaks out after decomposing body found inside trunk of abandoned Tesla
D4vd is currently on tour, and is scheduled to perform tonight
A representative for singer D4vd has responded after a ‘badly decomposed’ body was discovered inside a Tesla he owns.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) were called to investigate a foul smell coming from a black Tesla at an impound lot in Hollywood on Monday (September 8).
The car is believed to have been sitting in the lot for several days before officers discovered a body wrapped in a plastic bag inside the Tesla’s front trunk.
The identity of the deceased person and their cause of death has not yet been revealed. It has been reported that the 2023 Tesla is registered in Hempstead, Texas, to David Anthony Burke, who is best known as the singer D4vd. Some of his best known songs include ‘Romantic Homicide’ and ‘Here With Me’.

Both the tracks have more than a billion streams on Spotify, where the singer has over 33 million monthly listeners.
As the investigation continues, the owner of the car has not yet been confirmed by police.
In a statement to LADbible Group, the LAPD said: "On 9/8/25 around 12:20 pm, officers responded to the 1000 block of Mansfield Avenue for a foul odor coming from a vehicle at a tow yard.
"Detectives responded and located possible human remains. It is currently a death investigation. We do not have information on the owner of the vehicle."
D4vd is currently on tour and a spokesperson issued a statement on his behalf to NBC News which he said he ‘has been informed about what’s happened, and although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities’.
The musician has continued to post on social media amid his ongoing Withered World Tour. He posted this week about his upcoming release, Withered Deluxe: Marcescence, which is due out on September 19.
Alongside photos of his album artwork, d4vd told his 2,000,000 followers: "Every song written exclusively by me on my phone baby, this is a passion project i put together to make sure i didn't lose the raw emotional weight my music carries and how much it means to u all.
"Thank you to all the friends who collaborated with me on this everyone ATE THEIR VERSES UP."
D4vd, first gained viral fame on TikTok and released his debut album in April. The 20-year-old singer is scheduled to perform in Los Angeles on September 20 as part of his ongoing tour.
He is scheduled to perform in Kansas City, Missouri, tonight.
