Here is everything we know about Celeste Rivas, as police have provided an update on the decomposing corpse that was found in the truck of a Tesla belonging to singer d4vd.
Police were alerted to a vehicle in a Hollywood tow yard in Los Angeles that had an unpleasant smell coming from it earlier this month.
Upon further investigation, police made the horrifying discovery of a decomposing body in the trunk of the vehicle.
In a statement to LADbible Group at the time, the LAPD said: "On 9/8/25 around 12:20 pm, officers responded to the 1000 block of Mansfield Avenue for a foul odor coming from a vehicle at a tow yard.

Authorities soon revealed that the car was registered to the singer d4vd, real name David Anthony Burke.

The singer is reportedly aware of the situation and is 'fully cooperating with the authorities'.
His representative previously said in a statement that the singer 'has been informed about what’s happened, and although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities'.
Police have since identified the body as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas.
Who is Celeste Rivas?
Rivas was reported missing in April 2024 when she was just 13 years old. A missing poster at the time described her as being 5ft 3 and 120 pounds with brown eyes and dark brown hair.

She was last seen near Lake Elsinore in California.
Her identification comes after the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner revealed last week that the discovered body was a female thought to be around 5ft 2 with wavy black hair.
The teenager's mother told TMZ that her daughter had a boyfriend named Dave before her disappearance, while the outlet also reported that both she and d4vd have the same tattoo on the right index finger that read 'Shhh'.

At this time, it remains unclear when Rivas died and what the cause of her death was. However, law enforcement has previously stated that they believe the teenager had been deceased for an extended period of time.
"At this time, the LAPD does not have a crime classification from the coroner as to the mode or manner of death," the LAPD said in a statement.
"Thus, we do not have any suspect information at this time."
