Singer D4vd has pulled the plug on his remaining US tour dates following the shocking discovery of a teenage girl’s body inside a Tesla registered in his name.
The 19-year-old, real name David Anthony Burke, had been midway through his tour promoting debut album Withered when news broke that the body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez - a 15-year-old who’d been missing for over a year - was found in a vehicle linked to him.
Days ago, Celeste’s family spoke publicly for the first time.
“She was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend,” they wrote in a GoFundMe campaign set up to cover funeral expenses. “Her family is heartbroken and devastated by this tragic loss. They are seeking help to lay her body to rest. Any funds you are able to donate are greatly appreciated.”

The page, which confirms that 'Celeste Rivas Hernandez has been identified as the body found last week', has just surpassed its target of receiving $20,000.

Celeste first went missing from Lake Elsinore, California, in April 2024 at the age of 13. Last week, her remains were discovered in a Tesla that had been impounded on North Mansfield Avenue in the Hollywood Hills after a report of a foul odor. The car was confirmed to be registered to Burke.
Following this week’s developments, D4vd’s team quietly removed listings for upcoming shows in Los Angeles and the LA Grammy Museum from official venue sites, while sources have since told TMZ that all remaining dates have now been scrapped.

However, the singer hasn’t been officially connected to her death. His team has told NBC News that he is 'fully cooperating' with the ongoing investigation.
As the case unfolded, fans noticed eerie connections to an old unreleased track that had surfaced online years ago under the title Celeste_Demo unfin.

The now-deleted SoundCloud song included lyrics such as: "Oh, Celeste / The girl with my name tattooed on her chest / Smell her on my clothes like cigarettes / I hear her voice each time I take a breath / I'm obsessed."

As well as: "Afraid you'll only love me when undressed / But you look so damn gorgeous in that dress / Missing you so much makes me depressed."
Celeste’s mother has also told investigators that her daughter had a boyfriend named David around the time she vanished, though no formal connection to Burke has been made.
