A resurfaced track from American singer d4vd has raised eyebrows after fans noticed it repeatedly mentions the same name as a teenager recently found dead in his abandoned Tesla.
The song, which leaked online in late 2023 under the file name 'Celeste_Demo unfin', appears to be dedicated to someone named Celeste. The name is identical to that of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, whose dismembered body was discovered last week in d4vd’s impounded car at a tow yard in Hollywood.
Although now deleted from SoundCloud, where it apparently leaked, TMZ has reported that d4vd sings: "Oh, Celeste / The girl with my name tattooed on her chest / Smell her on my clothes like cigarettes / I hear her voice each time I take a breath / I'm obsessed."
The song continues with another reference to the name, as he performs: "Oh, Celeste / Afraid you'll only love me when undressed / But you look so damn gorgeous in that dress / Missing you so much makes me depressed / But I digress, because."

While there is no confirmation that the track is about Celeste Rivas, the lyrics and the timing of its appearance online have intensified public interest in the case.
Celeste’s mother revealed to reporters that her daughter went missing in April 2024, and had been seeing a boyfriend named David at the time. With d4vd’s real name being David, speculation has grown over whether the two were involved before her disappearance.
Authorities are yet to establish a concrete link, but several details have been noted. A photograph recently surfaced showing the singer in Lake Elsinore, close to where Rivas had been living with her family prior to going missing. Another image circulating online appears to depict d4vd with a girl resembling Celeste, though officials have not confirmed it is her.

Further intrigue has come from tattoos. Police, along with Celeste’s mother, confirmed that she had a distinctive “shhh…” tattoo on her right index finger. d4vd also has the same design inked on the same finger, a detail which has added fuel to ongoing speculation.
The discovery of Rivas’s body inside the star’s car has led to a homicide investigation that remains active. At the time, a spokesperson for d4vd made a statement, saying he 'has been informed about what’s happened, and although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities'.

Police have since searched d4vd’s home for traces of blood and other evidence, but have not yet made any formal charges.

d4vd cancelled a scheduled show in Seattle earlier this week, and is believed to have returned to Los Angeles as the case develops.
Though no direct connection between the resurfaced song and Rivas’s death has been officially established, the resurfacing of the lyrics — combined with the tragic discovery — has intensified questions surrounding the singer and his potential ties to the victim.
