Elon Musk appears to have reignited his bromance with US President Donald Trump just months after a frosty and very public fallout on social media.

On Wednesday (November 19), Trump, 79, gave a speech at the US-Saudi Investment Forum where he discussed his Big Beautiful Bill and the benefits it was bringing to US customers.

During his address, Trump noted that there would be special deductions on domestic car purchases within the government’s spending plans.

Explaining what the deduction entailed, Trump gestured to Musk, 54 as he said: “If they buy a nice Tesla car and borrow the money,” but then he cut himself off to say, "You are so lucky I am with you, Elon.”

He then asked the audience: "Has he ever thanked me properly?"

At the time, Musk remained notably tight lipped, but just hours later the Tesla CEO shared a gushing message of praise on social media.

Posting on X, Musk shared a selection of photos from the event as he wrote: “I would like to thank President Trump for all he has done for America and the world.”

Wednesday’s Forum also came just one day after Musk had been personally invited to a black tie dinner at the White House alongside some of the biggest leaders in the world – something that seemed practically unthinkable earlier this year when the pair suffered a public fallout.

From January until May 30, the tech mogul had headed up the Department of Government Efficiency, but it all unravelled following a disagreement with Trump over the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’.

"I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore," Musk wrote in an X post at the time. "This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it."

Trump didn’t take kindly to the criticism and hit back at Musk in a series of his own scathing posts, dubbing Musk a ‘train wreck’ and accusing him of ‘going off the rails’.

Months of frosty silence then followed before the pair began to show signs of thawing back in September, when they both attended a memorial service to commemorate murdered right wing activist Charlie Kirk.

During the memorial, Trump gave an extended 40-minute speech in honor of Kirk, but later connected with Musk when the entrepreneur extended an olive branch by coming to say hello to the president.

"Elon came over and said hello," he told the White House press pool. "I thought it was nice. He came over, we had a little conversation. We had a very good relationship, but it was nice that he came over."
