Pink stunned as fan throws mum's ashes on to stage

This was certainly a first for the 'So What' singer as she awkwardly held someone's mum's remains in front of the huge London crowd

In this latest edition of fans throwing objects to singers on stage, it’s the turn of Pink – and it could be the oddest one yet.

From concert goers pelting their phones over to rockers receiving underwear, Pink was literally given the ashes of someone’s mum.

The ‘So What’ singer is currently touring with her ‘Summer Carnival’ show, with her most recent album Trustfall having been released earlier this year.

Taking to the stage on the Sunday of her two American Express Presents BST Hyde Park shows in London, the 42-year-old singer was given various teddy bears, candies, flowers and artwork of her face.

And she took plenty of time to chat to her fans, showing the extremely close connection she has with many of them.

As her huge fanbase, and now social media users, have came to expect, the singer’s show is filled not just with bangers but tricks and skills.

Obviously, we’re talking about her famous flying across the crowd – it’s wild.

But as cool as the short-haired pop princess is, she was definitely stunned when she picked up a pouch of cremated remains that had been thrown on the stage and double checked with the fan that that’s really what it was: “This is your moms?”

No doubt feeling pretty awkward, she said: “I don’t know how to feel about this.”

This exchange also happened during Pink’s performance of ‘Just Like a Pill’.

She was literally singing lines like ‘can’t stay on your life support there’s a shortage in the switch’ while seemingly processing the fact that she'd held onto someone’s ashes.

Pink pretty soon dropped them back to the ground on stage, before later adding: “I have to say that was a first.”

Responding to this, rather unique, exchange on Twitter, users wrote: “She handled it well cause I’d definitely be mad that someone handed me their mom’s ashes.”

Others pointed out: “The ‘life support’ lyrics came at the WORST time.”

And one believes that she was 'so freaked out'.

But many others did defend the fan, believing there must be a sweet backstory as to why this fan took some of their mum’s remains to see Pink.

American Express Presents BST Hyde Park continues over the next few weeks with acts including Guns N’ Roses, BLACKPINK and Bruce Springsteen – we wonder what they’ll be getting ‘gifted’.

UNILAD have contacted Pink's team for comment.
