Netflix’s hit film Leave the World Behind has certainly left an impact on viewers as one scene has had social media in a frenzy.

Just like with any big Netflix film, social media can’t help but discuss every nook and cranny about it.

However, one scene from the apocalyptic psychological film has apparently been stressing out some viewers.

The scene itself shows Julia Roberts' character, Amanda Sandford, get out of her car and investigate a bunch of crashed cars blocking the road.

Her husband, played by Ethan Hawke, and their two children, played by Farrah Mackenzie and Charlie Evans, are left in the car and try and figure out what's going on.

After investigating, Amanda realizes that all of the crashed cars are brand new Teslas and special attention is given to the fact they all had the self driving feature.

The Sandford family soon realize the cars have been hacked via their self-driving software, and are effectively self-destructing by crashing into one another. A harrowing thought on its own, but the family is then forced to dodge a stream of hacked Teslas speeding directly at them.

Social media users on X have admitted to being more than a little frightened of this possibility.

“This Tesla scene in 'Leave the World Behind' has already been reoccurring in my nightmares. Now, to see that play out on the screen,” one X user wrote.

“Just watched Leave the World Behind. I'm never getting a Tesla,” said another.

“Ended up watching ‘Leave The World Behind’ and really enjoyed it! When I saw the Tesla scene made me think of the millions of models they just recalled,” added another user.

“The Tesla scene in leave the world behind️ I wanted one so bad now keep them mfs away from me,” joked another.

“The self-driving Tesla scene in Leave the World Behind is very scary to think about but also very funny,” added another.

Elon Musk, as always, seemed to want to capitalize on everyone talking about his car company, but was ridiculed by users for seemingly missing the point of the clip.

On X he wrote: "Teslas can charge from solar panels even if the world goes fully Mad Max and there is no more gasoline!"

"If Elon actually watched it he'd know that his comment has nothing to do with it."

"Clearly did not watch the movie lmao," another wrote.
