Sydney Sweeney spoke out saying she 'won't stop' filming nude scenes in Hollywood

Sydney Sweeney isn't going anywhere any time soon - and neither are her nude scenes.

Sweeney shot to fame on HBO's Euphoria alongside the likes of Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer and the late Angus Cloud.

Following the gritty high school drama's debut in 2019, Sweeney has gone on to star in the likes of The White Lotus, Madame Web, Anyone But You and Immaculate.

And anyone who has seen some of Sweeney's work will know that she's no stranger to the odd nude scene.

Undeniably these scenes have earned the 26-year-old actor 'sex symbol' status.

While it's hardly an insult to have accomplished such a title, Sweeney has previously spoken out on it and said that some people struggle to separate her from her roles.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in 2022, Sweeney shared: "People forget that I’m playing a character, they think, ‘Oh, she gets naked onscreen, she’s a sex symbol'."

"I can’t get past that," she went on. "I have no problems with those scenes, and I won’t stop doing them, but I wish there was an easier way to have an open conversation about what we’re assuming about actors in the industry."

She further noted that she 'fully trusts' the filmmakers she collaborates with, Euphoria writer Sam Levinson in particular.

"I’m always so excited for whatever Sam writes," Sweeney added.

Levinson is said to be hard at work as he pens the script for the highly anticipated third season of Euphoria, but he's faced some 'issues'.

Giving an update on the series last month, HBO CEO Casey Bloys said: "There’s been a lot of back and forth.

"One of the issues I think that Sam is thinking about is that he doesn’t want to have it in high school anymore. That’s where it was set and what made sense then."

The decision probably won't come as a surprise to some as many of the cast members playing the show's high school students are now aged 25 and over - and Jacob Elordi, now 27, has previously addressed this.

Chatting to Jimmy Fallon at the start of the year, Elordi voiced his hopes that season three would start production soon.

"I hope it’s soon, or they’re going to have to Benjamin Button me or something," the 6ft 5 Saltburn star quipped. "I’m going to have a bad back walking down the hallway, you know?"

As it stands, production for series three isn't set to begin in January 2025, so I hope Elordi has his anti-aging skincare products close by.
