Rob Reiner revealed what he considers his best work in an interview three months before his death.
The Hollywood director and actor, known for a hefty list of iconic movies and shows such as When Harry Met Sally, New Girl and The Wolf of Wall Street, and his wife of more than three decades, Michele Singer Reiner, were both found dead in their LA, Brentwood home on Sunday (December 14).
Cops confirmed they were called out to the address at around 3.38pm local time to provide medical aid, yet found 78-year-old Reiner and 68-year-old Michele deceased at the scene.
According to Sky News, the couple's bodies were found with apparent 'stab wounds'.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that their homicide division is now investigating the circumstances in what they believe to be an 'apparent homicide'.
Their 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, has since been arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody with no bail.

In a recent interview that the late movie-maker had with British journalist Piers Morgan on his show Piers Morgan Uncensored, the pair discussed which film Reiner hoped he would be remembered for.
Morgan said: "I’m not expecting this to happen anytime soon, Rob, you’re looking like a fine, healthy figure of a man. But should the moment come when we need to remember the work of Rob Reiner, which is the one for you, of everything that you’ve ever done, that you’d most like to be remembered for?”
The nine-time Golden Globe winner then joked: "People have their favorites, the cliche [is], we love all our children, even the bad ones."
Reiner then clarified: "I always say, Stand By Me, to me, is the one that meant the most to me.”
The Californian star had directed the drama based on Stephen King's novella, The Body, in 1986 with a star-studded cast, as the plot follows a group of boys as they try to find the body of a missing boy.
"I don’t know that it’s the best; it’s for other people to decide,” Reiner continued. “But it’s the one that meant the most to me because it really is an extension of my personality and my sensibility.
"It has a mixture of humor and melancholy and emotion. It’s closest to me of all of the films I’ve done.”
Morgan said at the time that he was personally a fan of When Harry Met Sally, which Reiner revealed in a separate interview that he changed the ending to a happy tear-jerker after he himself met the woman who would go on to be his wife, Michele, on the set.

Morgan reshared the clip on his show's Facebook page, writing: "We're incredibly saddened to hear about the murder of Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner."
The broadcaster was also among those who hit out at President Donald Trump for his controversial comments on Reiner's death.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that Reiner had 'Trump Derangement Syndrome', adding that he was 'known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump'.
Morgan responded on X, calling Trump's statement 'a dreadful thing to say' and urged him to 'delete it'.
Meanwhile, numerous other celebrities, including Whoopi Goldberg and Jimmy Kimmel, have condemned the president for his 'disgusting' comments.
However, Trump has since doubled down on his statement, saying he 'wasn't a fan' of Reiner's at all.
