All the celebs who have slammed Trump over 'disgusting' comments about Rob Reiner and his wife

Celebrities have condemned Trump's remarks about filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife after their deaths

Multiple celebrities have condemned Donald Trump's remarks about filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife Michele after their deaths.

The couple's son Nick Reiner has since been arrested on suspicion of murder.

At a party hosted by Conan O'Brien the day before his parents' deaths, Nick Reiner had allegedly turned up and behaved disruptively, making Rob, Michele and other guests uncomfortable and leaving them upset and embarrassed, Sky News has reported.

It has been reported that Reiner and his wife died a result of stab wounds.

Following their deaths, Donald Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social, and shared a statement which has been met with widespread outrage and condemnation.

In a post on social media, Trump wrote that Reiner had been suffering from an 'incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS.'

He added: "He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald."

The president's remarks were met with outrage and disgust, including from many celebrities.

Among those to condemn Trump was Whoopi Goldberg, who wrote: "I don't understand the man in the White House. He spoke at length about Charlie Kirk and about caring, and then this is what he puts out."

She added: "Have you no shame? No shame at all? Can you get any lower? I don't think so."

British journalist and talk show host Piers Morgan also condemned the remarks, writing on X: "This is a dreadful thing to say about a man who just got murdered by his troubled son.

"Delete it, Mr President."

Patrick Schwarzenegger, the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, wrote simply: "What a disgusting and vile statement."

Comedian Jimmy Kimmel, a long time critic of Trump, whose show was briefly taken off the air after he accused Trump of exploiting the death of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, also condemned Trump's remarks.

Speaking on his late show, Kimmel said: “You know, I have to say this is the kind of weekend that makes you wonder if things will ever feel good again.

“What we need in a time like this, besides common sense when it comes to guns and mental healthcare, is compassion and leadership.

"We did not get that from our president because he has none of it to give. Instead we got a fool rambling about nonsense, we got a brief moment of respect for our friends in Australia, we got a brief moment of condolence followed by a ‘thing happened’ for the students at Brown and for Rob and Michele Reiner.”
