Michelle Obama has spoken out about Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, after they were tragically found dead at their home on Sunday (December 14).
Over the weekend, the bodies of the When Harry Met Sally director and his wife, who was an actress and photographer, were discovered at their Los Angeles home, with police and firefighters being called to the home at 3:38pm (PST) for medical aid.
The LAPD announced that the case was being investigated as an 'apparent homicide', and on Sunday, the couple's son, Nick Reiner, was arrested and 'booked for murder'.
Numerous celebrities have paid tribute to Rob and Michele, including Jamie Lee Curtis and Zooey Deschanel, and former President Barack Obama, who wrote on X that they 'will be remembered for the values they championed and the countless people they inspired'.

His wife, Michelle, appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! sofa on Monday (December 15) to speak about her new book, The Look, where she said that she and Barack were supposed to be meeting up with Rob and Michele on the night of their deaths.

Speaking just a day after the death of her two close friends, the former First Lady said: "We've known them for many, many, years and we were supposed to be seeing them that night, last night."
After Rob and Michele's death, President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to post a highly controversial statement, which many described as 'disgusting and shameful'.
In his post, he accused Rob of having 'TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME', also calling him a 'once very talented movie director'.
Michelle appeared to take aim at his comments, as she said: "Let me just say this. Unlike some people, Rob and Michele Reiner are some of the most decent, courageous people you’d ever want to know. They are not deranged or crazed."
"What they have always been are passionate people in a time when there’s not a lot of courage going on.
"They were the kind of people who were ready to put their actions behind what they cared about. And they cared about their family.

"They cared about this country. And they cared about fairness and equity. And that is the truth. I do know them."
Obama wasn't the only public figure to criticise Trump for his comments, as actor Whoopi Goldberg said: "I don't understand the man in the White House. He spoke at length about Charlie Kirk and about caring, and then this is what he puts out.
"Have you no shame? No shame at all? Can you get any lower? I don't think so."
Kimmel, whose show Michelle appeared on, also condemned the president, writing that in a 'time like this', people need 'compassion and leadership', adding: "We did not get that from our president because he has none of it to give."
However, Trump doubled down on his comments, as he said that he 'wasn't a fan' of Reiner, calling him 'a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned'.
