Famous director Rob Reiner and his wife have reportedly been found dead in their LA home in what cops are treating as a suspected homicide.
The veteran Hollywood filmmaker, 78, and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, 68, have allegedly been found dead inside their Brentwood home.
Police and firefighters were called on Sunday (December 14) at around 3.38pm local time for medical aid to a property in the LA neighborhood renowned for the rich and famous.
Initially, they only confirmed that a 78-year-old male and a 68-year-old woman were found deceased inside and did not immediately identify the pair or the circumstances of their death.

The authorities have now confirmed that detectives from the LAPD Robbery Homicide Division have been assigned to the case, Sky News reports.

A source close to Reiner reportedly told NBC News that the pair allegedly died of stab wounds. Cops have also said no one has been arrested and that no suspect or person of interest is currently being sought.
In a news conference on Sunday night, police did not provide any further details about the deaths or what was at the scene, including details of their injuries or if a weapon had been used.
Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton said two bodies were still inside the house some six hours after first responders were called, and are now securing a search warrant to carry out a 'full crime scene investigation'.
"We’re waiting for the legal process to move forward. We have to obtain a search warrant for the residence," he said.
"Once that is complied with, we will be conducting a full crime scene investigation on the interior and exterior of the residence and the surrounding neighborhood.”
Meanwhile, LAPD Captain Mike Bland said they were investigating an 'apparent homicide'.

The force said detectives are currently interviewing a family member about the deaths, though reiterated that they are not 'looking for anyone as a suspect or in any other manner at this time'.
Hamilton continued: "We’re going to try to speak to every family member that we can to get to the facts of this investigation."
A cause of death will be determined by the LA coroner's office, he added.
Tributes have since been flooding in for Reiner, best known for directing classic movies like When Harry Met Sally, A Few Good Men, and The Princess Bride, as well as acting credits in The Wolf of Wall Street and, more recently, in New Girl and The Bear.
Michele, who tied the knot with the movie maker in 1989, started her career as a photographer before dipping into acting, starring in the holiday movie Mixed Nuts before going on to produce several of her husband's films, including Shock and Awe and Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, which was released this year.

The pair, who share three children, met while working on the romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally, which famously prompted the director to change the ending.
"It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner," a family spokesperson said in a statement, BBC reports.
"We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time."
California Governor Gavin Newsom also said he was 'heartbroken' by the news and called Reiner a 'big-hearted genius behind so many of the classic stories we love.'
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass also said his death is a 'devastating loss for our city and country'.
