Khloé Kardashian accused of ‘blackfishing’ with Halloween costume

Khloé Kardashian has sparked controversy with her Halloween costume.

The 39-year-old got in the festive spirit and dressed up for the hugely popular American holiday - opting to go as a Bratz doll.

Dressed in a yellow Cluless-esque dress and white jumper, Khloé boasted long platinum blond hair and paired the ensemble with some knee-high chunky black boots.

But Khloé's costume hasn't gone down well with someone who have accused the reality TV star of 'blackfishing'.

"This is most definitely blackface & I don’t appreciate it," wrote one person on Instagram.

"Black fishing periodddd," added another, as a third wrote: "Remove these photos and let’s have a discussion about cultural misappropriation."

"Why are you so brown, Khloe?!" questioned someone else.

"Ooooooh the black fishing in this one is out of control," accused another.

But others came to Khloé's defense.

"Khloe isn’t any darker than the other girls she only looks darker cause of how blonde her hair is," insisted one of her 311 million Instagram followers.

A second penned: "It’s a spray tan I’m sure we all get them."

"People are insane. It’s Halloween! You ladies look great. How fun!" said someone else, as others hailed the mum-of-two as 'stunning'.

UNILAD has contacted Khloé's reps for comment.

After posing for photos, it looks like Khloé enjoyed a night out with her sister Kim, as well as their pals Natalie Halcro and Olivia Pierson.

In stories shared to her Instagram Story, Khloé and Kim ended up in fits of laughter as they removed their prosthetic lips.

Younger sister Kendall Jenner was also out with them and dressed up as Marilyn Monroe.

While Khloé has been criticised for her costume, Kim received backlash for her Halloween decorations.

In a video shared to her social media, Kim showed off her 'creepy' set up.

The video starts in the hallway, swaths of fabric hung from the ceiling and spooky hooded figures lining the walkway, lit only by flickering candles.

But some expressed concerns about the decorations being too much for her young kids.

Kim shares children North, 10, Saint, seven, Chicago, five, and four-year-old Psalm with ex husband, Kanye West.

One X - formerly known as Twitter - user wrote: "A haunted house or a cult house…won’t this disturb the kids for a while?"

Another added: "The kids would be in the house too?"

"If I was one of Kim Kardashian kids and I had to pee at night with those Halloween decor set up in the house… I’d pee myself," someone else went on.

I have to admit, even as an adult, I find the decorations pretty darn scary.
