Britney Spears reveals when she lost her virginity as she criticizes team for portraying her as 'eternal virgin'

The singer lost her virginity as a teenager

Britney Spears has shared when she lost her virginity in yet another bombshell from her tell-all memoir.

The 'Lucky' hit-maker's book hit shelves on Tuesday (24 October), and has revealed a host of things about her life.

One huge revelation that has surfaced as part of her book is Britney's claims that she had an abortion while dating fellow pop star Justin Timberlake.

In her book, she wrote: "It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day.

"This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated.

"But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young."

There were then questions raised about her 2003 song 'Everytime' potentially alluding to her decision to terminate her pregnancy.

However, Annet Artani, who co-wrote the song with Britney, put the claims to bed, insisting the song was purely about the breakups they had both recently experienced.

Now, in another bombshell, Britney has shared how old she was when she lost her virginity in light of her team portraying her as an 'eternal virgin'.

"Given that I had so many teenage fans, my managers and press people had long tried to portray me as an eternal virgin," the 41-year-old penned as she went on to note that she'd lived with her ex-boyfriend, NSYNC star Justin while they dated.

"I’d been having sex since I was fourteen," she added.

Britney also went on to question why her managers would 'work so hard to claim I was some kind of young-girl virgin even into my twenties'.

"Whose business was it if I’d had sex or not?" she added.

And her virginity isn't the only element of her sex life Britney shared about, she also wrote about her short-lived romance with Irishman Colin Farrell.

Britney said she was set up with Colin through a 'club promoter friend', and described their romance as being like a 'two-week brawl'.

"Brawl is the only word for it," the 'Womanizer' singer said.

"We were all over each other, grappling so passionately it was like we were in a street fight."

But Colin always denied that they'd been romantically involved.

When questions were raised at the time, he'd insisted that they were 'just mates'.

In hindsight, Britney said she she thought there 'could [have been] something there' with Colin, but also admitted that at the time she still wasn't quite over her ex, Justin.
