Ezra Miller will accept a plea deal in order to avoid facing serious jail time for a string of more serious offences in the wake of a break-in at Vermont last year.

Miller is due in court Friday (January 13) where they will accept a plea deal filed with the Vermont Superior Court, as cited by AP.

The Flash star has agreed to a suspended sentence of 89 to 90 days in jail for the misdemeanor of unlawful trespass.

The movie star will also be fined USD$500 plus an additional surcharge of USD$192 surcharge.

In return for the plea deal, Miller will see the other two charges dropped against them.

If they were found guilty on the other two charges, Miller may have faced up to 26 years behind bars.

Miller would have been looking down the barrel of a maximum of 25 for the burglary charge and another year for the accusation of larceny along with it.

Miller pleaded not guilty in a Vermont court in October to stealing bottles of booze from a neighbor’s home while they were away.

The Vermont trespass was just one of several arrests in the months prior to the trespassing incident, with a series of bizarre incidents occurring from Hawaii to New England.

Following the Vermont charges the actor released a statement apologising for their behaviour in a string of incidents and said they were 'suffering complex mental health issues'.

They also said they had begun treatment and 'want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behaviour'.

Miller said that they were 'committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage'.

Earlier in 2022, Warner Bros were faced with the dilemma over whether to shelve the movie and try to reshoot it with another leading actor or release it and try to get their leading star some help.

In light of Miller's behaviour, which included multiple arrests in Hawaii, there were calls for the role to be recast with Elliot Page mentioned as a possible replacement.

But, despite the controversies plaguing their lead star, Warner Bros opted to keep Miller on.

The movie went ahead and is understood to be in post-production, wth the film set to be released on June 16, 2023.
