Orlando Bloom pays tribute to fiancé Katy Perry after King's Coronation performance

The Firework singer performed for the newly crowned King and Queen

Orlando Bloom has shared a sweet congratulations message to his fiancé Katy Perry following her performance at King Charles III’s coronation concert.

Perry, 38, took to the stage yesterday (Sunday 7 May), performing in front of 20,000 people at the special concert, which also saw performances from Take That, Olly Murs and Perry's American Idol co-star, Lionel Richie.

The singer had previously said it was ‘so cool’ to be invited to perform in front of the newly crowned King and Queen.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight after it was announced she would be performing, Perry said: "I'm grateful I get to go. I met His-Majesty-to-be a few years ago and he named me as one of the ambassadors to his organisation, The British Asian Trust, which is an organisation that helps fight to end child trafficking.

"So I'm also an ambassador for UNICEF, and it really aligned with my values. That's mostly why I'm going, to be an ambassador and to say, 'Hey, this is me from the USA.' No, but it's so cool."

And Perry’s British fiancee Bloom was equally as delighted that his other-half took part.

Sharing a snap from the concert on his Instagram, the Lord of the Rings star wrote: “‘Immensely proud of you my love. You always bring the light.”

Ahh, isn’t that nice?

During her performance, Perry dedicated her hit Firework to King Charles, ‘and the work that we get to do together with the British Asian Trust and their Children’s Protection Fund’.

Earlier across the coronation weekend, Perry caused a stir on social media after she seemingly couldn’t find her seat at the ceremony.

Clips shared to social media showed Perry all dressed up for the occasion in a rather large pink hat, wandering around Westminster Abbey as she attempted to find where she should have been sat.

Commenting on the clip one Twitter user said: "The way she's trying to look for her seat with that hat, it's adorable and funny at the same time.”

Another wrote: "She can't see over her bloody hat lol."

Someone else said: "How can she find her seat when she has fishing net over her head?"

While a fourth asked: "Can't they have an usher or something, why they embarrassing their guests like this?"

After the ceremony ended, Perry took to social media to poke fun at herself writing: "Don't worry guys i found my seat."
