Cher has sparked engagement rumours by posting a photo of a very fancy diamond ring, saying she has ‘no words’ for beau Alexander Edwards.
Cher, 76, confirmed she was happily dating 36-year-old music producer Alexander Edwards last month, having posted a snap of her new beau on Twitter.
“Alexander,” she wrote, adding a love heart emoji.
When someone asked her if this was her ‘new man’, she replied with a loved-up emoji, going on to share more details with others in the comments, including confirmation that they had first met during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year.

Now Cher has fuelled speculation that the pair got engaged at Christmas, posting a photo of a diamond ring on social media yesterday (25 December).
“THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E,” she said.
While the star did not reveal the story behind the ring, many people took it as a hint towards an engagement.

Commenting on the post, one gushed: “Congratulations, so happy for you!”
Someone else said: “Congrats sis!!!!!! Many blessings to you!!!! Merry and happy everything!!!”
Another wrote: “Mrs Edwards?”
A fourth added: “Wait wait wait hold uppp!! Is that a diamond ring or a ring with diamonds???? What does it meeeaaaan?????????”

In a follow-up tweet, Cher pointed out that it was Edwards who was holding the box in the photo, adding: "I posted this cause his nails are so cool."
Bit while many fans were thrilled for the potential engagement news, some felt protective over the singer – sharing words of caution.
One wrote: “Congratulations. Grab happiness with both hands, but have a pre nup too.”

Cher was previously married to Sonny Bono until 1975, later tying the knot with Gregg Allman before divorcing in 1979.
Edwards is the vice president of A&R at the Def Jam Recordings, which boasts a roster of musicians including Rihanna, Pusha T, Nas, Public Enemy and Justin Bieber.
He was previously in a relationship with model and SlutWalk activist Amber Rose, with whom he shares three-year-old son Slash Electric Alexander Edwards.

When another expressed their concerns for Alexander’s ‘motives and intentions’, Cher hit back: “Haven’t you got anything else 2 do? Let me explain... I don’t give a f**k what anyone thinks.”
