A fan has been slammed online for appearing to 'violate' Halsey's personal space whilst she was performing.
The 31-year-old 'Without Me' hitmaker took to the stage in Minneapolis as part of her international Back to Badlands tour on Thursday (November 6).
However, while the singer has praised the 'intimate crowds' at her headline concerts so far, video footage has ignited outrage online amongst her fans on social media, who've alleged that others have taken it too far by inappropriately touching the celeb as she performed.
While singing the fan favorite track, 'Is There Somewhere', Halsey could be seen holding hands with members of the crowd as she stood on a platform in front of the barrier.
Yet during the performance, a fan's hand could then be seen appearing to reach for her skirt and 'holding' or touching Halsey on her upper thigh. The hand then repositions to her bottom before a security guard swats it away.
The footage captured by fans at the barrier has since gone viral, with several expressing 'disgust' at the apparent act.
"You have an opportunity to be that close to someone you admire and love. And choose to be weird and violating," said one baffled fan.
Meanwhile, another person who said they witnessed the incident, wrote on X: "Here it is up close and a grand example of what NOT to do during ITS.
"You can hear me telling [the fan] to take her hand down and see me grabbing it after security was nice enough to give her little warning taps.
A hand could be seen reaching behind the singer (X) "It’s so unfortunate and I hope this doesn’t happen again ANYWHERE."
A third chimed: "Hey, so let’s not touch Halsey’s thigh and/or a** during 'Is There Somewhere'! That is so f***ing not okay. Whoever this is - shame on you!!!"
Dozens more have said they felt 'sickened' watching the clip and that such behavior should see fans booted out of concerts.
"It’s disgusting how people think this is okay. You don’t touch anyone without their consent PERIOD!" a fourth echoed.
"I keep seeing videos of 'fans' touching a singer’s chest, abs, etc, trying to get a simple touch on their arm, or pulling on their clothes and it’s weird as f***. They need to be banned."
The singer hasn't commented on the incident (Alessandro Levati/Getty Images) A fifth wrote: "This is just mind boggling! Like, WTF!"
Despite the concern for the New Jersey star, Halsey has not commented on the incident publicly.
In an Instagram carousel of images from the night, she wrote in the caption: "Video girl in DC by @averagecowgirl. Minneapolis tonight! These intimate crowds are filling my [heart emoji]."
In another post, she wrote: "What a night. I probably should have been exhausted, but instead I was coming out of my skin with mania and energy.
"I hope this tour never ends. I loved this evening so so so much. I hope you did too.
"BACK TO BADLANDS!"
UNILAD has contacted Halsey's reps for comment.
