Tom Welling's response to the viral Instagram photo
Welling's most memorable response came beneath an Instagram post from Hello! Magazine discussing his reaction to the mishap.
"Not intentional, but still reflecting on it," he wrote, making a playful reference to the window reflection that had caused the commotion.
The actor, who played Clark Kent in the long-running superhero series, also engaged with other social media posts poking fun at the situation.
Welling's former Smallville co-star Michael Rosenbaum also decided to get involved, creating his own version of the mishap.
Rosenbaum, who played Lex Luthor opposite Welling's Clark Kent, shared a photograph jokingly taking a picture of the NYC skyscrapers while his reflection shows he is not wearing pants. Rosenbaum cracked, ‘Just looking after my boy @tomwelling.’
He also had a sign saying 'perverts' over his private area.

What happened at the Smallville reunion panel?
The social media incident coincided with Welling's appearance at New York Comic-Con, where the cast reuinted to celebrate the show's 25th anniversary.
Smallville premiered in 2001 and followed the early life of Clark Kent before he became Superman. Welling played the character throughout its 10-season run, which concluded in 2011.
Despite the online attention surrounding his Instagram story Welling did not address the incident during the reunion panel.
However, the discussion did turn unexpectedly to nude photographs, prompting the actor to recall an encounter from his time working on the show.
According to METRO, Welling remembered how co-star John Glover, who played Lionel Luthor, once asked him to sign a nude photograph of himself.
"He thought it was so cute. He [was] like: 'Is this really you?' I'm like: 'Yep.' And I signed it for him," Welling recalled.
The anecdote offered a separate glimpse into the cast's experiences behind the scenes, years before the latest social media mishap.
