A Reddit user got candid about an incident that saw them enter a coma for two weeks and revealed two things they remember about the experience.
Throughout history, people have been fascinated about death and different cultures, societies and time periods have come to conclusions about what happens after we die.
But the funny thing is, there is no concrete way to know what happens after you die until... well you die.
With that said, there are people who have come close to the edge of life and lived to talk about it afterwards.

One Reddit user claims to be one of those people, and explained that he was in a coma for two weeks and almost died before eventually waking up.
User Advanced_Plan_4714, called on Reddit users earlier this week to ask them anything (AMA) about the experience and what they can remember and feel about it.

Most interestingly, the user said they remember two key things about being in a coma.
The user began the post by stating: “I was in a coma for 2 weeks at 14. I had a severe near death experience and around a 2-5% predicted rate of surviving what I went through. I can expand upon what actually happened to get me into the coma if wanted, but I figured more than anything people maybe be interested to hear about what being in a coma and extremely close to death is like.
“I’m in my early 20s now so this was quite some time ago and I’m long recovered now, though I live with PTSD and other medical complications from this event.”
The user explained that when they did wake up, they were very disoriented and for days were confused about what was real and what wasn’t, occasionally hallucinating.
They also noted that, contrary to popular belief and pop culture, they didn’t ‘dream’ while in a coma, rather experienced ‘black nothingness’ for the duration.

However, the user did reveal the two things they do remember.
They stated: “I remember two things though. One was a song my parents played for me. They were playing my favorite music on repeat but I remember one song in particular being played.
“I also remember at one point feeling an extreme sense of peace, more peaceful than can be described or imagined. I think that’s when I was closest to death. When I woke up I was very disoriented and couldn’t really comprehend where I was.”
