Police found that an unnamed woman was suffering from severe injuries and naked from the waist down while chained up in the backyard of a property.

Austin Police have confirmed that they have made several arrests in connection with a terrible discovery they made at a home in 1700 Bitter Creek Drive, Austin, Texas.

After responding to a welfare call to the property, they found a half-naked woman with severe injuries handcuffed to some exercise equipment outside in a garden.

According to a press release by the department, she had 'visible injuries consistent with prolonged restraint'.

The release continued: "The woman told officers she had been held at the residence for several months and was not allowed to leave. Officers immediately worked to free her and requested assistance from Austin Fire (AFD) and Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services."

The Austin Police Department shared the names of each of the suspects in the crime in a press release.

The five adults who were arrested at the property have been named as Michelle Garcia, 51, Crystal Garcia, 21, Mache Carney, 32, Juan Pablo Castro, 30, and Maynard Lefevers, 21.

They have been charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, injury to the elderly or disabled, and unlawful restraint.

Most shockingly, the victim told investigators that she had been friends with Garcia; however, she stated that 'at some point, [the group] decided they no longer liked her' and decided to hold her as a captive, according to an affidavit obtained by the Austin American-Statesman.

Police also stated that three young children were discovered at the property, and they were safely removed before being placed in child protective services.

The Austin Police have so far stated: “Preliminary information gathered at the scene, including interviews and evidence, indicates that multiple adults living at the residence were involved in restraining and assaulting the victim over a period of time.”

According to a New York Post report, the victim was found half-naked because her pants slipped down and she 'got in trouble' the night before.

She was also then allegedly shot with a BB gun, cuffed to a backyard stand and left there overnight as 'punishment', with temperatures plummeting below 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

All of the suspects are currently locked up at the Travis County Jail on $305,000 bail. Police have confirmed they are continuing an investigation into the matter.
