South Park creator Trey Parker had a rather cheeky response to the White House after they took shots at the show for mocking Donald Trump.

South Park has been on screens for quite some time and any longstanding fan will tell you, basically anyone can get ridiculed.

Donald Trump’s administration may not have got this memo and likely had the worst reaction to the president being mocked.

In case you missed it, to premier season 27 of the show (yes, we are on season 27!) it took plenty of jabs at the president, mocking his manhood and showing him getting into bed with Satan...

Trump is seen undressing himself and jumping beneath the sheets with the hulking red Satan - who rejects his sexual insinuation.

Yet the president can't take the hint, with his character quipping: "Come on Satan, I've been working hard all day."

Now a lot of presidents, have been mocked on South Park, in fact if you are in the public eye, it's almost seen as a badge of honor to have the show take a jab at you, but the White House didn’t see it that way.

In true South Park fashion, one of the creators, Trey Parker addressed the controversy on the stage at San Diego's Comic-Con International at the beginning of a Comedy Central animation panel.

He simply said 'we're terribly sorry,' followed by a long, deadpan-comic stare.

This likely won’t satisfy the White House however who released a rather stern and unimpressed statement following the release of the episode.

White House Assistant Press Secretary Taylor Rogers first took shots at the political left and commented: “The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end — for years, they have come after South Park for what they labeled as ‘offense’ [sic] content, but suddenly they are praising the show.”

He then turned his attention to the show itself and added: “Just like the creators of South Park, the Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record lows.

“This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.

"President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history — and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”
