The reason why a flag was flown at half mask at the White House amid speculation Donald Trump had died has been revealed.
Trump's health has been in the media headlines for a number of weeks now, after the president was spotted with a 'large bruise' on his hand, which his team recently attempted to cover up with what appeared to be a ton of foundation.
The POTUS has reportedly been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition that occurs when your leg veins become damaged and can’t work as they should.
On top of comments made by Vice President JD Vance and a lack of public appearances from the Republican president, many Trump supporters became concerned over the weekend after rumors the president had passed away broke the internet.

Such bizarre speculation was dismissed over the weekend after Trump was spotted on the South Lawn at the White House with his granddaughter Kai Trump as they prepared to visit the Trump National golf course in Sterling, Virginia.

Prior to that, a flag was flown at half mast at the White House last week, which only heightened talk as such a move is typically done to pay condolences following a death or a major tragedy.
However, it was Trump who ordered the American flag to be flown at half mast as a mark of respect to those lives lost in the Minneapolis mass shooting.

Two children died and a further 17 people were left injured after 23-year-old Robin Westman opened fire at Annunciation Catholic School last week.
Trump himself responded to claims he had died with a post on his Truth Social platform.
"NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE. Also, DC IS A CRIME FREE ZONE! President DJT," the president posted.

That was in reply to one MAGA supporter who penned on the platform: "Joe Biden would go multiple days at a time without any public appearances and the media would say he’s 'sharp' and 'top of his game'.
"President Trump puts in more public work hours than any other POTUS in US history, and media freaks out if he disappears for 24 hours. Comical double standard."
It was comments from Vance that seemingly added fuel to the fire.
"I've had a lot of on-the-job training in the last 200 days, but the president is in incredibly good health. He's got incredible energy," Vance told USA Today, late last week.

Vance noted that 'terrible tragedies happen', but felt 'very confident that [Trump] is in good shape' and will serve the remainder of his term.
