There are four bizarre reasons people thought Donald Trump had died after speculation broke the internet in recent hours.
On Saturday, the president was spotted on the South Lawn at the White House with his granddaughter Kai Trump as they prepared to visit the Trump National golf course in Sterling, Virginia.
It's not exactly uncommon to see Trump teeing off for a round of golf on the weekend to unwind, but pictures coming through earlier today will certainly come with a sigh of relief amongst those who had been worried about the POTUS' health.
CNN journalist Barak Ravid dismissed bizarre speculation that Trump had died, as he penned on Twitter: "A U.S. official tells me: Trump is OK. Will play Golf this morning."

But why was speculation rife anyway?
JD Vance's comments
Comments from Vice President JD Vance seemed to suggest something might not be quite right with Trump, as he insisted he could become president in the event of a 'terrible tragedy'.

"I've had a lot of on-the-job training in the last 200 days, but the president is in incredibly good health. He's got incredible energy," Vance told USA Today.
"While most of the people who work around the president of the United States are younger than he is, I think that we find that he's actually the last person to go to sleep, he's the last person making phone calls at night, and he's the first person who wakes up and is the first person making phone calls in the morning."
The vice president noted that 'terrible tragedies happen', but feels 'very confident that [Trump] is in good shape' and will serve the remainder of his second term.
Trump's Health issues
The president was recently spotted with a 'large bruise' on his hand, which his team recently attempted to cover up with what appeared to be copious amounts of foundation.

Trump was also diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition that occurs when your leg veins become damaged and don't function as they are required to.
Lack of public appearances
Trump is certainly no stranger to the world's media, so when he's nowhere to be seen for a few days, people tend to worry.

The POTUS hadn't been seen in public for two days and had no public events scheduled for today.

But rather than assume the president had taken the day off, everyone rushed to conclude he was dead.
Pentagon pizza theory
Yep, somehow the activity of pizza takeaways is linked to the death of the president.

"The pizza places near the Pentagon were busy, which happens when something important to national security is going on," one person explained on Reddit.
While some pizzerias near the Pentagon did appear to be slightly busier than usual on Friday, one X account monitoring the situation addressed the situation.
They penned: "I feel like I need to elaborate more on what conditions/traffic levels of pizzerias I consider to be meaningful vs. Just noise. There seems to be a lot of misconceptions floating around out there."
