Trump pictured for the first time after bizarre rumors of his death broke internet

Donald Trump has been pictured on the grounds of the White House on Saturday

Donald Trump has been pictured with his family in Washington, D.C., on Saturday after bizarre rumors of his death broke the internet.

The president's health has been the hot topic of conversation of late after he was spotted with a 'large bruise' on his hand, which his team recently attempted to cover up with what appeared to be copious amounts of foundation.

Trump was also diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition that occurs when your leg veins become damaged and can’t work as they should.

On Saturday, Trump was spotted on the South Lawn at the White House with his granddaughter Kai Trump as they prepared to visit the Trump National golf course in Sterling, Virginia.

CNN journalist Barak Ravid also dismissed the bizarre speculation, as he penned on Twitter: "A U.S. official tells me: Trump is OK. Will play Golf this morning."

But why was everyone convinced the POTUS was dead in the first place?

Not seen in public

The POTUS hadn't been seen in public for two days, sparking speculation online as to what may have happened to him given he is seen in public basically every day.

On top of that, Trump had no public events scheduled for today.

But rather than assume the president had taken the day off, everyone rushed to conclude he was dead.

Pentagon pizza theory

One Reddit user explained the theory that Trump had died after speculation about his death started on Twitter.

"The pizza places near the Pentagon were busy, which happens when something important to national security is going on," they explained.

This is a long standing theory, with claims that pizza orders surged around the time Trump ordered missile strikes on Iran.

While some pizzerias near the Pentagon did appear to be slightly busier than usual yesterday afternoon, one X account monitoring the activity said: "I feel like I need to elaborate more on what conditions/traffic levels of pizzerias I consider to be meaningful vs. Just noise. There seems to be a lot of misconceptions floating around out there."

JD Vance's bizarre comments

Comments from Vice President JD Vance also seemed to add fuel to the fire as he insisted he could become the president in the event of a 'terrible tragedy'.

"I've had a lot of on-the-job training in the last 200 days, but the president is in incredibly good health. He's got incredible energy," Vance told USA Today.

"While most of the people who work around the president of the United States are younger than he is, I think that we find that he's actually the last person to go to sleep, he's the last person making phone calls at night, and he's the first person who wakes up and is the first person making phone calls in the morning."

The vice president noted that 'terrible tragedies happen', but feels 'very confident that [Trump] is in good shape' and will serve the remainder of his second term.

The comments certainly surprised people who tuned into the interview, with one person penning on social media: "Strange thing to say as the person who is VP, no?"

Meanwhile, a second suggested that Vance was 'foreshadowing' and that his reply was 'ominous'.
