Karoline Leavitt described her relationship with her husband as an 'atypical romance'.

Leavitt has become a well known face across the globe as the official press secretary for the White House where she's held many news conferences over the last few months.

Leavitt's job even sees her travel internationally; the 27-year-old recently joined the president on his so-called leisurely trip to Scotland that consisted of several rounds of golf and a not-so-causual meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

She shared a snap of herself with the POTUS on Instagram and wrote alongside it: "Peace deals, trade deals, and golf! Fantastic trip to Scotland with President Trump. What a beautiful country with wonderful people."

While Leavitt herself is a recongizable figure in US politics, her multimillionaire husband Nicholas Riccio lives a life away from the spotlight.

Riccio and Leavitt tied the knot in January a few months after Leavitt gave birth to their son, Niko, in July 2024.

Who is Nicholas Riccio?

Riccio is a wealthy real estate developer who has a estimated net worth of $6,000,000.

He owns Riccio Enterprises LLC, which maintains millions of dollars worth of properties around New Hampshire, says The List.

He also owns 15 buildings in the affluent area of Hampton Beach, which he's said to rent out to families.

While he has his own business, he's reportedly supportive of Leavitt's busy career in politics.

Leavitt says her spouse is her 'greatest supporter', 'best friend' and her 'rock'.

How did the couple meet?

Leavitt and Riccio met in 2022 when she was running for Congress in New Hampshire, PEOPLE reports.

"A mutual friend of ours hosted an event at a restaurant that he owns up in New Hampshire and invited my husband," Leavitt recalled on The Megyn Kelly Show earlier this year. "I was speaking. We met and we were acquainted as friends. And then we fell in love."

What's the age gap?

Riccio is 32 years older the Leavitt, 27.

Addressing their large age gap, Leavitt admitted to Kelly that she was 'of course' hesitant at first about dating a much older man.

"I mean it's a very atypical love story but he's incredible," Leavitt said.

She continued: "He's the father of my child and he's the best dad I could ever ask for and he is so supportive, especially during a very chaotic period of life... I say, ‘I walked into your life and it's been a circus ever since,’ but God bless him because he's fully on board."
