Shocking moment police officer crashes car while watching porn and driving at the same time

That isn't very safe for work...

The moment a Florida police deputy crashes into the back of another car while watching pornography behind the wheel has been revealed to the public.

An investigation was launched after a police officer was involved in a car crash while driving south on County Road 435. He ended up hitting a civilian’s vehicle, but it wasn't this careless act that got him into trouble. Take a look below:

The incident happened in early November last year and authorities have since named the officer as Deputy Tristan Macomber.

Macomber’s body camera captured the moment he hit the other car and his airbags deployed. Seconds later, he gets out of the vehicle and throws his phone on the seat before going to pick it up. He then checks on the driver ahead and attempts to explain the reason for the crash.

He said: "Hello, ma’am. Are you OK? I’m so sorry, my brakes locked up."

However, the investigation into the incident concluded that this was a lie and found that he was actually watching porn on his phone at the time of the crash...

Macomber initially stated that he was scrolling through a group chat with other deputies on his phone while he was driving prior to the crash.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Internal Affairs report said that Macomber 'admitted to lying' before he later revealed that he was 'looking at pornographic material on his personal phone just before the vehicle crash'.

Through his actions, authorities were able to conclude that he had violated three Sheriff’s Office policies; he departed from the truth, used an electronic device for something that is prohibited and there was evidence to suggest he wasn’t wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The deputy has since resigned from the police force.

As you can imagine, when social media got wind of the incident, they weren’t exactly sympathetic to the officer, and many have insisted he seek medical help for his 'addiction' to pornography.

One user wrote: "Now this made me chuckle, because who in their right minds watches that stuff with bodycam on AND while on duty."

Another said: “If you're unable to keep yourself from watching it while you're driving (with your bodycam on), you really should seek professional assistance.”

A third wrote: “Imagine when his family sees this how embarrassing it is going to be for him.”

And another simply put: "'Are you ok ma'am? My brakes locked up!!' There is nothing like a law breaking, lying police officer!!”
