Warning: This article contains discussion of suicide which some readers may find distressing.

A heartbroken mom has spoken out after her daughter was found dead near her college campus.

Brianna Aguilera, 19, was found dead outside an apartment complex in the early hours of Saturday morning (November 29), after she had attended a tailgate for a football match between the University of Texas and Texas A&M University.

Brianna's mom, Stephanie Rodriguez, has claimed to KSAT that she has received 'inconsistent answers' regarding her daughter's death, after authorities allegedly told her she had fallen from student accommodation.

According to Stephanie, investigators also said Brianna had likely died by suicide, but her mom is adamant that she was not suicidal, and was looking forward to becoming a lawyer after graduation.

"There are a lot of inconsistencies with the story," Stephanie told the publication.

"He told me they said she jumped, and then he told me that the friends said they didn’t know her whereabouts.

"There was a fight that happened between my daughter and another girl, and they were all staying in the same apartment that I have actual text messages of, and the detective just disregarded them."

Stephanie believes one of the people inside the apartment at the time may know something about her daughter's death, but Austin police said in a preliminary report that her death is not being treated as a homicide, or suspicious.

A GoFundMe has since been set up for Brianna's family and has raised over $30,000 at the time of writing.

"It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and cousin, Brianna Aguilera," it reads.

"Brianna graduated from United High School in Laredo, TX where she was a seasoned cheerleader and received honors of Magna Cum Lade. She was pursuing her dream of becoming a lawyer and was attending The Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M, her dream was to always be an AGGIE! She was a year shy of attaining her Aggie ring.

"On Friday, November 28, 2025, Brianna attended the UT vs. Texas A&M tailgate with friends at Austin. The details surrounding what happened next remain unclear, and her mother is still awaiting answers."

The page explained that the family's 'hearts are shattered' adding: "In an effort to ease the financial burden on Brianna’s mother and loved ones during this unimaginable time, we are asking family, friends, and all who knew or knew of Bri to consider offering a donation. If you are unable to give, we humbly ask that you keep Brianna and her family in your thoughts and prayers."

The Travis County Medical Examiner will investigate Brianna's cause of death.

UNILAD has reached out to the Austin Police Department for comment.
