Trump posts scathing message about Kamala Harris after she exposed surprising comments he made to her in private

Trump responded furiously to Harris' claims

Donald Trump has posted a vicious message about Kamala Harris after she appeared on The View to discuss her upcoming memoir, in which she exposes surprising comments the president allegedly made to her in private.

In an appearance to promote her upcoming memoir 107 Days, the number of days she had to run her presidential bid, Harris said that the election in 2024 was a close call, after labeling Trump a 'con man' in the book itself.

Her comments came as she reveals in the book that Trump seemingly said nice things to her in private, allegedly telling her: "How do I say bad things about you now? I'm going to tone it down. I will. You're going to see."

However, Trump's post didn't seem to address Harris' allegation of him being a 'con man', and instead focused on her appearance on the talk show.

Trump shared his response on his social media platform Truth Social, writing a capital-studded rant in his typically restrained and tasteful style, which was directed at the former Vice President.

This was her claim that the 2024 election was close, an assertion that Trump took extreme issue with, even going so far as to call Harris 'dumb as a rock'.

Taking to Truth Social, Trump posted: "Kamala Harris, who is DUMB AS A ROCK, is going around and using, as a standard part of her Speech on why she lost the Election, that 2024 was the “closest Presidential Election in the 21st Century.” Everyone knows this is a lie, and was covered as such by Fox News!"

He continued: "I won the Electoral College, 312-226, a LANDSLIDE, Counties Nationwide, 2,600 to 525, a LANDSLIDE, all seven Swing States, a LANDSLIDE, and, despite the fact that California’s Fake Mail In Ballots came in at ridiculous numbers (It was RIGGED!), I still won the Popular Vote by MILLIONS! Bush, as an example, won the Election by 537 Votes, and many other Elections were very close."

The president went on to say that he is now expecting an apology, writing: "Kamala’s 'closest in the 21st Century' soundbite was, like everything else in the Democrat Party, A TOTAL LIE! I expect an apology. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

While Trump did win all the swing states and secure their electoral college votes, the margins in many of them were thin.

The states that Trump managed to flip were all on thin margins, with Michigan saw Trump win by just 1.4 per cent, Wisconsin was 0.9 per cent, and Georgia a difference of 2.2 per cent.

It was enough to secure a comfortable victory for Trump in the electoral college, but the margins in the swing states paint a picture more akin to a photo finish rather than the resounding landslide that Trump's allies trumpeted.
