In a Truth Social post earlier today (March 6) Trump made it clear what he expects from Iran going forward.

In a post, he wrote: “There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER! After that, and the selection of a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s), we, and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before.
“IRAN WILL HAVE A GREAT FUTURE. “MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!).” Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
According to a CNN report, regarding a new leader, Trump said he is not concerned on whether Iran becomes a democratic state and he is ultimately seeking leadership that will treat the US, and Israel well.
During a phone call to the outlet, he also said: “Iran is not the same country it was a week ago. A week ago they were powerful, and now they’ve been indeed neutered.”
He also said he believes he should involved in the process of picking a new leader and made comparisons between this country and the missions in Venezuela earlier this year.

He added: “It’s gonna work very easily. It’s going to work like did in Venezuela. We have a wonderful leader there. She’s doing a fantastic job. And it’s going to work Iike in Venezuela.”
Trump also noted that he is open to the idea of a religious leader stepping into the top role of Iran.
He commented: “Well I may be yeah, I mean, it depends on who the person is. I don’t mind religious leaders. I deal with a lot of religious leaders and they are fantastic.
“I’m saying there has to be a leader that’s going be fair and just. Do a great job. Treat the United States and Israel well, and treat the other countries in the Middle East — they’re all our partners.”
