Donald Trump has again snapped at a reporter after they questioned him during a press conference, this time asking about the recent National Guard shooting.

Yesterday (November 27), Trump held a media conference after his Thanksgiving call with service members.

He confirmed that US Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom died following a shooting just a few blocks away from the White House on November 26.

Shortly after the attack, Trump took to Truth Social to say that two National Guard members had been 'critically wounded', adding that the 'animal' that shot them 'is also severely wounded, but regardless, will pay a very steep price'.

A single individual was taken into custody and the suspect was identified as 29-year-old Rahmanullah Lakanwal, an Afghan man living in Washington since 2021.

During the media conference, a reporter told Trump that US officials have said that Lakanwal had previously 'worked closely with the CIA in Afghanistan for years and was vetted' and ultimately that 'the vetting came up clean'.

Trump responded to these points by saying: “He went cuckoo, he went nuts, and that happens too.”

The president then shared an image of a group of individuals crammed into an aircraft and insisted that this is how they came into the US, adding: “There was no vetting or anything. They came in unvetted, and we have a lot of others in this country we’re gonna get them out, but they go cuckoo.”

However, the reporter replied by noting that Trump’s Department of Justice confirmed this year that there had been thorough vetting by the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI. She also questioned why Trump appeared to be blaming Joe Biden’s administration, resulting in him snapping at her.

He retorted: “Because they let them in. Are you stupid? Are you a stupid person? Because they came in on a plane, along with thousands of other people that shouldn’t be here, and you’re just asking questions, because you’re a stupid person.”

This comes not long after Trump faced backlash for snapping at another female reporter and referring to her as ‘piggy’.

On November 14, Trump was joined by members of the press aboard Air Force One, including Bloomberg reporter Catherine Lucey.

Lucey attempted to ask the POTUS a follow-up question on whether there was anything 'incriminating' in the latest Jeffrey Epstein email release, which seemingly agitated Trump.

Pointing at her face, Trump said: “Quiet. Quiet, piggy.”

“You are the worst! You're with Bloomberg, right? You are the worst!" he snapped, before adding: “I don't know why they even have you.”
