An episode South Park made mocking Charlie Kirk has been pulled from streaming, but a friend of the conservative commentator wants it back.

Kirk was shot and killed while he debated people on a Utah Valley University, with the FBI having so far arrested one individual connected with the shooting, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.

The commentator's death has certainly caused ripple effects across America, and this includes among entertainment and satirical shows like South Park.

Prior to Kirk’s death on 10 September, the long-running show had taken multiple jabs at the controversial Turning Point USA co-founder.

At the time, the TV show came under fire for its unflattering portrayal of Kirk, as well for its depiction of other MAGA figures, such as Donald Trump.

However, following news that the episode has been pulled from streaming, a friend of Kirk has revealed how the commentator actually felt about the show.

Andrew Kolvet, executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show and spokesperson for Turning Point USA, took to social media to get Paramount to restore the episode.

Writing on Twitter, he said: “Hey @paramountplus, as someone who can speak with some authority on this, Charlie loved that he was featured in South Park. He told me many times.

“He would want the episode back up."

Prior to the episode being aired, Kirk made it clear that he wasn’t all that bothered.

In a video he said:“They're going to obviously make fun of me ... but I think it's kind of funny and it kind of goes to show the cultural impact and the resonance that our movement has been able to achieve."

After Season 27 episode 2: Got a Nut premiered on August 6, Kirk also made it clear to his fans that he not only enjoyed the episode but shared some of the clips on his own YouTube page.

Kirk seemed to take the ridicule in good spirit, as many celebrities and public figures have done in the past, as some have previously joked that being parodied by South Park is a sign ‘you have made it’.

Sharing some of the jokes mocking him, he said: “There is going to be a lot said about this but we have got to have a good spirit about being made fun of.

“This is all a success, all a win, we as conservatives, we have thick skin, not thin skin and you can make fun of us, it doesn’t matter.”
