Buckcherry’s tour bus caught up in fatal 2am crash before band were due to perform again
One person has died after a road traffic collision involving multiple vehicles, including the tour bus of band Buckcherry.
In a statement, the band said that the crash had happened 'ahead of our bus' on I-26 in Spartanburg County in South Carolina at approximately 2am, while the band were off on a national tour of the US.
The band said in the statement, which was shared to their Instagram stories, that they had been 'involved in a multi-vehicle accident', and that tragically it had since been confirmed that one person had died in the collision.
“We are extremely grateful to report that all members of Buckcherry and our touring crew are safe and unharmed,” the statement said.

“Tragically, authorities have confirmed that the collision that occurred ahead of our bus resulted in a fatality.”
The band added: “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family and loved ones of the person who lost their life. We sincerely appreciate everyone who has reached out with concern and support.”
Authorities have confirmed that one person was killed in the collision, WSPA has reported, and that this resulted in the road being closed while emergency services responded to the crash.
The deceased has not been identified. It has been reported that they had been on foot when the collision happened, and had stepped out of their car, when they were allegedly struck by a Toyota sedan.
South Carolina Highway patrol has said that they had been involved in a single vehicle crash which had previously happened, and had exited their vehicle when they were hit.
They were subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the collision on the I-26 road, all lanes were blocked on the eastbound side of the road, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.
This continued for around eight and a half hours after the collision while police dealt with the emergency, before all lanes on the road were allowed to reopen at around 10:30 in the morning.
None of the members of Buckcherry or their touring crew were harmed in the collision.
Lead vocalist Josh Todd, guitarist Stevie D., bassist Kelly LeMieux, drummer Francis Ruiz, and guitarist Billy Rowe had been travelling for the Roar Like Thunder tour when the crash happened.
The tour is underway to support the release of the new album, the band's eleventh, called Road Like Thunder, which was released back in June 2025. The tour is scheduled to continue until September 6 with a date in Orlando.
The next date on the tour is at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale in Florida on Saturday August 22. It is expected that the performance will 'proceed as planned'. No other changes to the band's tour schedule have been made following the incident.
