It could only end in disaster

A new adult trend that's giving us all kinds of disturbing mental images comes with some serious risks.

Just when you thought you'd heard it all, TikTokers come along with a new viral trend that's just as insanely bizarre and dangerous as the last.

Now, dozens have been left reeling after learning about a new sex trend that even the Sanskrit text Kama Sutra couldn't have imagined.

While sex in a car is nothing new, people have reportedly taken it to the extreme with a new position dubbed 'hamstering'. Fortunately, it doesn't involve or promote the harm of any furry critters.

Instead, the name refers to the unusual positioning, or rather contortion, involved when doing the deed.

According to content creator @jenn_nniffer, who kindly made a somewhat PG demonstration in her car, 'hamstering' involves a male partner climbing onto the roof of the vehicle and dangling their penis down through the sunroof.

The other person is then said to stretch up from inside the car with their mouth to perform oral sex, mimicking the way a hamster would drink from a bottle.

Now, cybersecurity pro Robert Siciliano has lifted the lid on why the stunt is particularly dangerous.

The father pointed out how terms like 'hamstering' and 'thirsty hamster' have gone viral across social media with 'millions of views.'

"Viral content doesn't mean safe content," he continued. "Many users, especially teens, are influenced by what's trending without questioning the danger."

He added some car manufacturers like Tesla have also issued 'internal injury' warnings from stunts such as hamstering, as VICE reports the company discourages users from putting body parts through the sunroof for what might appear obvious to the likes of me and you, as well as risks from 'flying debris and 'tree branches.'

Car manufacturers probably never imagined having to issue a warning about a potential bloodbath involving people's genitals though, as there could be another risky outcome if someone accidentally hits the close button on the moon roof, or moves the handbrake, midway through the performance.

That said, Jennifer did point out potential problems with the position, notably how physically difficult it is to perform for both parties unless you're both perhaps well practiced in yoga or acrobatics.

She also said the paintwork of the car could end up getting scratched up pretty badly if buttons and belt buckles are involved.

That, and many content creators cheering the trend on have seemingly forgotten the US has some pretty tough indecent exposure laws that could see you slapped with a misdemeanor or even a felony.

Possible jail terms can range from six months to a year in many US states, which go up to two years in Pennsylvania, according to Justia, or as little as 180 days in Texas.

Meanwhile, some states like California require people convicted of indecent exposure to register as a sex offender.

So yeah, definitely doesn't sound worth it to me.
