Barron Trump seemingly doesn't have as much interest in politics as his father does.

Barron is the youngest son of Donald Trump, the newly elected President of the United States. His mother, Trump's wife of 19 years, is Melania Trump.

Trump's older children - Ivanka, Donald Jr., Tiffany, and Eric - have been quite present during his political career and have made numerous appearances over the course of his 2016, 2020, and 2024 campaigns.

Ivanka, for example, was a senior advisor in the first Trump administration, while Donald Jr. was once dubbed as 'the go-to person for political things' by one of Trump's aide in 2021, Sky News reported.

But, having just only turned 18 (the minimum age you have to be to vote in the US), Barron hasn't had many big roles in his father's political party - and, apparently, doesn't have much interest in it.

Barron recently started at New York University's Stern School of Business, where his famous father is often a topic of conversation.

When asked by his fellow students about who he supports, Barron allegedly told them that he doesn't align with any political party, reported Mail Online.

Despite this, he did exercise his right to vote last week, with his mother sharing a snap of the 18-year-old at stood in a polling booth.

"Voted for the first time - for his dad," Melania wrote alongside the photo shared to Twitter.

While Barron isn't thought to have been involved in much of the political side of things as of yet, apparently, he did advise his 78-year-old dad on which podcasts he should appear on ahead of this year's election.

"Barron has been very involved in recommending a number of the podcasts that we should do", Trump campaign senior adviser Jason Miller said on the Playbook Deep Dive podcast, as per The Times of India.

"I got to tell you, hats off to the young man. Every single recommendation he’s had has turned out to be absolute ratings gold that’s broken the internet," Miller went on.

"When you look at the impact of podcasts or YouTube shows - non-traditional media, part of the thing is you're meeting voters where they're at."

Compared to Trump's first presidency, it's predicted that Barron will have a more active role this time round.

According to body language expert Judi James, the 18-year-old is 'positioned up front in the spotlight in the hierarchically visual role Ivanka took last election'.

Trump's inauguration will take place on January 20, 2025.
