A TikToking 'Nanna' has revealed her simple but revolutionary hack to keep cheese fresh.

Cheese. One of the most beautiful things to ever be created. Eaten on crackers, oozing out of toasties, sprinkled on pasta or just gnawed straight from the block. It adds creaminess, saltiness, and warmth in what is an otherwise fairly bleak and depressing world.

While in my view, the mouldier the cheese the better, cheddar isn't known for its blue tinge and sharp taste like Roquefort, so it's best to keep it contained while in the fridge.

However, keeping cheese fresh can prove a difficult battle, but fear not, because TikTok - as always - has the answers to all your cheesy dreams.

The nan, who has four grandchildren and goes by the name of 'Nanna TikTok', posted a video of a live demonstration of the hack alongside the caption: 'We all deserve fresh cheese without the cling film.'

In the clip, she states: 'I'm sure most of you already know this, but when you're opening a block of cheese in a wrapper, cut off the end, like that. Take out your cheese. And pop this back on the block.

'Keeps your cheese nice and fresh.'

A hack so simple, so easy to achieve, and yet utterly mind-blowing to someone such as me, who has been battling with finding the end of the clingfilm, trying not to tear it unevenly so much so that I give up and have to purchase a completely new roll altogether, before trying in vain to get it to properly stick and wrap round my block of Cathedral Extra Mature Cheddar.

Nanna TikTok's followers were equally as astounded by the simplicity of the hack, with the video having amassed over five million views. Thousands also flooded to the clip to debate the issue.

'Life hack I didn’t realise I needed, thanks nana,' one grate-ful user said.

Another explained that they quite simply wouldn't need the hack, because of being such a cheese fanatic that they normally consume the entire block in one go.

A third noted the parallels between Nana TikTok and one other cheese-loving figure in the public eye. 'You sound just like Wallace,' they joked.

In a later video, reacting to the response her hack received, Nana said: 'I can hardly believe that that little video - I think it were eight seconds long - of me, cutting up me cheese, and wrapping it back up with the wrapper, in three hours it's hit a million views. Mainly because everybody's arguing.

'It just proves my point that you can put a lot of effort into a video editing, planning it etc. and it goes nowhere. And then you do that, eight seconds, no planning, and it's on a million views in three hours.

'Anyway thank you everybody, you can all use your ziplock bags, and your foil, but I'll stick to this, especially if it's going to get three million views.'

Nana TikTok's content? Nothing gets cheddar than this.
