A woman has revealed how she spent $70 (AUD) - equating to £39 - on two Five Guys meals.

Taking to TikTok, Dani - who goes by @dani.stevens02 on the video platform - explained that she will 'never be going to Five Guys again' after visiting the chain in Australia.

"Here's my bad review of Five Guys," she began.

"First of all, it was 70 bucks for two meals and it wasn't a gourmet meal just some chips and some burgers.

"Two burgers, two chips and two drinks and it was 70 dollars. Yeah it was alright but definitely not worth 70 dollars. Not going back."

"Also I got a small chips and smaller burger. My bf got the normal burger and chips," Dani added in the comments.

On a receipt shared in the clip, Dani spent $22 on one burger and $19 on the other, followed by fries which cost $5.90 and $7.90 as well as an almost $10 chocolate milkshake and a $5.90 soda.

People in the comments had a lot of opinions, with one person commenting: "5 guys is my favorite fast food burger but it’s so damn expensive!"

While another added: "It’s too expensive in Australia."

And a third said: "Omg, they are the best. I go once every other month or so, pricey but good."

Despite the review, Five Guys remains a popular chain around the world.

Back in 2020, one man, Kyle Gibson - who is a competitive eater from Scotland - managed to scoff the chain’s entire menu in an hour, while also raising cash for charity.

Kyle ate eight burgers, four hot dogs, two portions of fries, two veggie sandwiches, a grilled cheese sandwich, a BLT, two milkshakes and a couple of refill drinks.

That's a huge 13,000 calories, but he also raised £400 for Newcastle West End Foodbank and also donated £100 worth of food to the charity.

Speaking to Chronicle Live, Kyle said at the time: "The challenge was to eat the entire menu at Five Guys and I did it. It took me just under 61 minutes and it was not easy. It was a bit of a struggle but I managed to get through it.

“I love doing crazy stuff like this but I do realise that there are people out there who really can't afford food, who are in bad situations and generally need help and rely on places like food banks in order to feed their families.”
