Bryan Kohberger has made the latest in a long sequence of complaints as the quadruple murderer prepares to spend the rest of his life behind bars.
The 31-year-old is locked up at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution in Kuna, after the chilling 2022 murders of 21-year-old University of Idaho students Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves, their 20-year-old roommate Xana Kernodle and her boyfriend Ethan Chapin.
All four students were murdered at an off-campus home in Moscow, Idaho, on November 13.
Kohberger initially pleaded not guilty to the slayings before taking a plea deal which saw him admit to the killings and avoid the death penalty.

Per the agreement, the killer was sentenced to ten years for a burglary charge for breaking into their apartment, and then four consecutive life sentences for each first-degree murder count.

Since entering the prison, he has issued a number of complaints to prison staff - and the latest issue seems to be about the quality of fruit he’s being given whilst locked up.
According to Chris McDonough, a retired homicide detective who works at the Cold Case Foundation: “He’s complaining about the type of bananas he’s being served.”

“They’re not the kind that he likes,” McDonough told the Daily Mail, citing prison sources. “I’m not sure if that means they may have bruises on them and he doesn’t like that or if there is a particular type of banana that he likes. But he’s complaining about the food he’s getting.”
He went on to joke: “You can’t make this stuff up, right? The guy is a quadruple killer and he’s complaining about his bananas not being the type that he likes.”
This comes just after he requested to move cells after it was reported he was facing sexual harassment from other inmates in July.
He complained of 'minute-by-minute verbal threats/harassment' in the jail's J-block on July 30, writing to officials asking to be moved after just one night, as per People.

Then on August 4, he was said to have complained to a prison guard that an inmate told him, 'I'll b**** f*** you' as another threatened to eat his 'a**'.
During an August 12 housing placement hearing, it was decided that he should remain separate from the rest of the population ‘for the protection of staff and residents, as well as for his protection,’ the Idaho Statesman reported.
But McDonough said the killer wasn’t happy with ‘the type of cell that he’s in, the size of the cell and where it’s located’.

According to him, Kohberger is ‘going to keep pushing the envelope and pushing the boundaries as far as he can get them' as part of a ‘control’ game due to him having refused to disclose details of the murders, which allegedly means he holds 'the cards'.
