President Donald Trump has been praising Nicki Minaj, saying he 'loves' the rapper and praising her 'beautiful' skin.

While giving a speech at the Black History Month reception at the White House, Trump piled on the praise for the ‘Bang Bang’ star and her looks.

The admiration for each other's work goes both ways, it would appear.

His effusive comments come days after Minaj shared an AI-generated image of her alongside Trump to mark Presidents' Day on Monday, January 16.

In it, she appeared to be riding in a convertible car alongside the POTUS while counting money, and she received backlash after posting it.

Some slammed her tribute as ‘tacky’ and ‘cringe’, while Trump supporters thanked the rapper for siding with the President.

During his speech, Trump raved: "How about Nicki Minaj? Do we love Nicki Minaj? I love Nicki Minaj,” he said to a roar of applause.

“She was here a couple weeks ago. She’s so beautiful, her skin is so beautiful,” he gushed.

“I said, ‘Nicki, you’re so beautiful.’ Her nails are like that long, I said, ‘Nicki are they real?’" as he gestured to show lengthy nails.

"She didn’t want to get into that. But she was so beautiful and so great and she gets it, more importantly," he added.

In January, Minaj shared her appreciation for Trump, after meeting him at the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, D.C., and declared herself as his ‘number one fan’.

She said “I am probably the president’s number one fan and that’s not going to change. What people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more. And it’s going to motivate all of us to support him more.”

She continued: “We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him. And you know, the smear campaigns. It’s not going to work. He has a lot of force behind him and God is protecting him.”

She also joined podcaster Katie Miller and confessed Trump had motivated her to be more open for her support of him: “Religious freedom is something that’s very important to me, but if I’m being honest, President Trump, when I saw how he was being treated, over and over and over, I just couldn’t handle it.”

"I felt that same, you know, a lot of that bullying in this man's campaign, and all of the lying," Minaj added. "I felt that that had been done to me for so many years, and I was watching it in real time happen to someone else, and I didn't think he deserved it. And it made me think, I can't do this anymore."

Back in December, Minaj even appeared as a surprise guest at a Turning Point USA event in Phoenix, Arizona.

She gave a speech at the event, where she called Donald Trump and Vice-President JD Vance 'role models'.
