ASL interpreter stuns people after successfully taking on rap verse with 11.13 syllables per second

A video of an ASL interpreter has been hailed as 'heartwarming' as they managed to translate a 11.3 syllable per second verse for deaf fans

An ASL interpreter has shown off her impressive skills as she translated a rap verse for deaf fans.

The unnamed woman was in the audience at Global Citizen Festival and managed to successfully interpret Changbin's 11.3 syllable rap verse.

Changbin is the main rapper for the group Stray Kids, but is also in 3RACHA alongside fellow South Korean stars Bang Chan and HAN.

Embracing New York's miserable weather on September 23, one music fan was stood front and centre of a small group as she translated the ridiculously fast lyrics.

Elsewhere in the video, another American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter was sat down doing the same as someone held up a phone next to him with the song's lyrics on.

Sharing the heartwarming clip to TikTok last week, someone praised the pair for 'working overtime'.

"The real 3racha stans were the interpreters fr. And Changbin’s 3racha lyrics had them working overtime," they captioned the clip.

Fans said the woman was 'working overtime'.

The video has since gone down a storm with fans who have been quick to praise them for their excellent skills.

"I think Chan would be impressed with this lady.. keeping up with the flow," one fan of the group penned.

"She has to translate from Korean to english to sign language, girl is talented," said another.

"Someone give the interpreter a kiss for me pls. I can never do that lol," a third went on, as someone else labelled their ASL as 'exceptionally awesome'.

According to the TikToker who shared the video, the pair didn't just interpret one song, but three.

They did '3RACHA', 'Heyday' and 'Topline' - with the video showing them translate the lyrics for 'Heyday'.

A second ASL interpreter was also translating the song.

Their impressive ASL skills come after another interpreter stole the show earlier this year at Rihanna's Half Time Show.

In the iconic performance - where Rihanna revealed she was pregnant with her second child, whom she's since given birth to - the ASL interpreter on Fox’s split-screen was going absolutely wild for the music, bopping around like nobody’s business.

Later named as Justina Miles, people were quick to praise her for epic performance alongside Rihanna.

"She was giving us a performance too," one person wrote a the time.

Another said: “Oh she was getting into it.”

Meanwhile, someone else called for Justina to be hired for the 2024 Super Bowl Half Time Show.

In recent days, it's been confirmed that Usher will be taking the stage for next year's show, which he's since labelled as 'an honor of a lifetime'.
