The Boys fans are 'losing their minds' after discovering Hollywood actress voices the octopus in new series

The Boys fans have said it was bugging them they couldn't immediately identify the voice actor behind the Deep's octopus

The Boys are back, but one character has got people questioning who the voice actor is.

The Boys has returned for season four and the show continues to wow with fascinating characters, disgusting scenes and hilarious jokes throughout.

The show is no stranger to cameos with the hit TV series seeing a whole host of celebrity make brief appearances.

But the fourth season has started to flesh out a character we previously hadn’t heard speak before.

And no I'm not talking about Black Noir, though hearing his replacement constantly be told to shut up and continue to pretend to be a mute always does get a laugh out of me.

But this character is one that is known rather... intimately with superhero The Deep.

For those who aren’t up to date with the all the members of the Seven, The Deep's real name is Kevin Moskowitz and his powers include super speed in water, and the ability to breathe underwater.

But one power we have seen him use very often is communicating with aquatic animals.

In fact, throughout the series viewers have caught the Supe with his pants down and getting familiar with some of the ocean’s most wet and slippery animals.

In season 4, fans are getting a look into his sort of partner, an octopus named Ambrosius.

While viewers have seen the eight-limbed animal before, in the latest season we get to hear her - yup, it's a her - speak to The Deep as they try and work on their hilariously weird relationship woes.

But fans couldn’t quite put their finger on who the voice actress is. In fact some fans have taken to social media to admit it has been driving them crazy and when they did find out they were ‘losing their minds’ about the revelation.

If you hadn’t guessed it yourself, the actor is none other than the brilliant Tilda Swinton, who is able to regularly deliver a warm and soothing tone when attempting to comfort the superhero.

“I love the unexpected cameos in this show,” one user wrote on X.

“It was bothering me so bad that I couldn’t place her voice the first 30 seconds. And then it hit me. The Boys is goated when it comes to cameos,” wrote another

“The fact that I knew immediately because I love her but this was so scary,” commented a third.

“When I heard her I had a feeling she sounded familiar and when I checked I started laughing,” added another.

“No wonder I find it so sexy. I thought I was losing my mind,” commented another.

I think it's safe to say fans are all for the actress voicing the sensual octopus.
