Spooky season is nigh and people are already looking for their next scary series.

Netflix boasts dozens of horror series on the streaming platform, with some of the best being Netflix Originals.

Some of the most talked about shows to have been released by the streamer include The Fall of the House of Usher, All of Us Are Dead and fan favorite, Black Summer - but this time, it's an AMC series that has recently landed on the platform that people are now raving about.

Titled The Terror, the show boasts a very impressive 94 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes for its first season.

The little known-about series stars a few famous faces too, including The Crown's Tobias Menzies, Chernobyl's Jared Harris and Ciarán Hinds - best known for 2020 comedy film The Man in the Hat.

The show is split into two series - with the first covering the lost journey of Captain Sir John Franklin and his crew through the Arctic Archipelago as they are tormented by a supernatural creature, while season two, The Terror: Infamy, takes place in the US during World War II, with an 'uncanny spectre' following a 'Japanese-American community from its home in Southern California to the internment camps to the war in the Pacific'.
