Fans have finally been granted a good look at DC's Superman movie after director James Gunn teased that fans were yet to see 'trailer 1.0'.
Creators behind the DC Universe flick have been kind enough to hype fans with the release of behind-the-scenes looks and teasers for Superman in recent months, but Gunn admitted in April that he didn't consider any of them to be the real trailer.
At the time, the director said he 'couldn't wait' for fans to get a real look at his upcoming movie, saying: "You haven't even seen trailer 1.0. yet - only a teaser and a sneak peek!"

Finally, the trailer has arrived after images from the movie first showed David Corenswet being the latest actor to take on the iconic role of the hero, who's known in his day-to-day life as the unassuming Clark Kent.
Corenswet is joined in the movie by a big cast, including Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, as well as Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, and Edi Gathegi, among others.
At last, you can check out the new trailer below:
Set in the early days of Superman's busy career, the DC Universe film is set to follow the protagonist as he tries desperately to remain kind 'in a world that finds kindness old-fashioned'.

Amid dealing with that struggle, Superman is also set to be challenged by a new villain which has previously been referred to in teasers as the 'Hammer of Boravia'.
The trailer has been praised by excited fans, with one writing: "Let's Goooo. Looking forward to this, it looks Amazing."
"GENIUS," another simply added.

Obviously there have been a lot of iterations of Superman over the years, but Corenswet is ready to take on the challenge.
In fact, he'd be happy doing so even if it meant he never worked again.
Speaking to Time Magazine about the role, he said: “Would this be worth doing if this was the only thing I do as an actor for the rest of my life? I think the answer is yes.”
Gunn has also praised Corenswet's ability to take on the role, telling the publication: “I’ve seen sets that cater to an actor or director’s ego and that’s just not something that would happen with David. He is Superman, even in his nerdiness. He listens to old jazz standards. Like that’s what he listens to, just as normal procedure. Like Superman, he’s a simple man in complicated times.”
